After the ISTE presentation a few of us hung around to chat and play on the isi model that was made and used when we were formulating the initial design ... even before the island itself was delivered from Linden Labs.
If you are working with students (big or small) and talking about the process of designing/setting up a SIM and you'd like a copy of this model for discussion then just IM me and we will drop one on you ... but be warned .. it's 190 prims.
